Sept 16th 2013 - Rant

We must begin to look at each other as equals.  To truly, look into each and every other person and assume that they have the same equal value as we do.  We must, it is imperative, to view our friends, neighbors, countrymen, and fellow mankind, as having the same adult respect we would expect from others.  Life is about the golden rule.

The Golden Rule simply states that we should treat others as we wish to be treated.  It does not mean, as many people have made the false ideal of: that we should let others hurt us and expect them to find remorse or 'justice' from a system of other people we consider to hold a position and ability to meter it out.  No, on the contrary, our system is designed to 'help' in situations where individuals were unable to affect justice in their own lives.  Stated another way: our forefathers thought that each person had the legal authority of protecting their Life, Liberty, and Estate and anyone that attempted to take this from an individual, said individual has the authority to stop them.  In situations where individuals were unable to stop the theft of Life, Liberty and Estate, such as war, the "State" was suppose to do what it could to fight off the oppression for the safety of those unable to do it themselves.

Somewhere we lost the notion that the Golden Rule is suppose to be applied to everyone, equally.  Not only applied to the Law-abiding, but also the lawless.  Now, instead of giving the authority to individuals to protect themselves, they are slowly stripped of their right to self preservation at the same time the lawless are elevated to 'mis-guided', 'confused', 'in need of support', instead of treated as villains that have first violated the golden rule and then the core principles of individuality, as they should be.

Worse yet are those that feel the failure of one man, is the failure of all men.  We are about to see it again, after a recent shooting, where the cowards and fools will say that no guns are the only option.  They will, effectively say, the following. 1. Gun are evil, because evil people use them to kill innocent people. 2. People whom own guns and do not want to give them up for the benefit of society (by the way society is a false ideal, you and I are society, and it exists because we allow it) must be just as evil as those that actually do evil.  3. Therefore, all gun owners must be evil.  Think about it, the full scope of the thinking is that you are not smart enough, educated enough, wise enough, kind enough, decent enough, or human enough if you own a gun.  There must be something wrong with you. If you own a gun, you're flawed. Better to take your gun away from you before you turn it on others.  Of course, the statistical data proves this wrong, but what care stats against an emotional mob bend on hanging people from a tree?

Often times I get in the argument of training with others.  For example:
"Guns are bad, " Anti-gun person.
"How about a gun in the hands of a policeman?" I ask
"That's okay," anti-gun
"Why?"
"Because they are sworn to protect us and have training to use it."
"If I get that training and take an oath to protect you, can I carry a gun? But not be a policeman?" I ask.
"Well, no."
"So it's not the training or the oath.  It's the uniform?"
"Well, no."
"But you feel safe when one is around, that is a cop, in uniform?"
"Yes."
"How do you know there isn't a cop in here right now?"
"I don't see one."
"So it's the uniform."
"No."

And on this goes, because, frankly, people are emotional fools.  So again, I put forth the idea, government types: If I take the same training with the firearm and take an oath to uphold the constitution and protect you with my life, can I carry a gun?  You're answer will probably be no, as, in the end, you think less of me than you do of the uniform.  And THAT is what we call equality today!  So it comes back to this: There must be a fundamental shift in ideology, where we again, look at each other as individuals and of equal merit.  If someone then chooses to not be equal, by either destroying themselves (no harm to others no harm to society, no actual crime) or chooses to harm others (attack against Life, Liberty and Estate of others and a violation of the golden rule) then we can approach the actions as equal beings and make logical decisions about the outcome.  Instead of simply enacting ideas against others.  I am not a child of the State.  The State does not own me.  It has no right to control me or think for me or decide what I can own.  It has no right to make these decisions for me.  In fact, it should stay out of my way (as long as I'm not violating Life, Liberty & Estate for someone else).

Yet it doesn't.  It attacks, constantly the very premise of individualism.  In fact, write your reps and tell them that they are not your parents and have no authority to treat you like children, trust me, when I say, the kind of disrespectful arrogance you get back will only strengthen your resolve.

Firearms are tools used to equalize non-equal entities.  By allowing the State to mandate your ability to own firearms (any type of firearm) you are effectively telling the state that you are a second class citizen with less legal rights than the police and worse, less social power than a criminal.  For the police will be legally allowed to enforce their ideas on you with out your consent and the criminal will simply understand he can force his will on you as well...both by the same tool: force of arms.

So be a fool and demand the theft of others Liberty and the theft of their Property, but be warned, don't be surprised if more and more cases of actual crime arrive at your doors as the only people left with a dog in the fight have a reason to fight for that power.  Remember this, The State has a motive to control and win as do the criminals, while, we the people, we are motivated by safety and a long life, our motivations are the same as the two ended criminal tiers.  But if we don't start taking responsibility for our lives and tell the state to stop, it won't matter what you want, even that will eventually be decided for you.  Just look at our public school system.
